Catalytic Iron Filters are generally used as a roughing stage upstream of a carbon filter. 

PMG CIF systems are designed as a two-stage catalysis process and on recent installations are achieving in excess of 80% odour removal and therefore significantly reduce the use of dry media in the polishing stage.
