Any process plant contributes to a 'carbon footprint' due to its electrical power consumption.  In addition, in the case of gas scrubbing or odour control processes, the following concerns raise their ugly heads:

Ø  Increased chemical consumption

Ø  Replacement media costs

Ø  Transport and landfill charges

Ø  Mechanical and Electrical maintenance costs

Ø  Waste discharges

Now for an admission.  PMG cannot eliminate ALL the above  - we cannot make your scrubber operation totally drawback-free.  There is always some unavoidable pain involved in running any type of scrubber.

We can, however, help you minimise the financial and environmental impact of your scrubber plant operation.  We achieve this initially through a detailed understanding of every engineering design parameter and principle involved in your scrubber plant and, secondly, through their intelligent application to the design (or retro-design) of your specific scrubber plant.

Our prime objective is to meet the process duties required at the sensible minimum specific power consumption.  We call this 'intelligent scrubbing'.  Obvious?  Yes, but still often overlooked.

Until recently the inital capital cost has invariably (and understandably) been the overriding factor in the choice of scrubbing process and technology.  Consequently, any scrubber plant designed and installed more than 5 years ago is unlikely to meet today's energy efficiency standards.  This is unfortunate because low capital cost can be compatible with high energy efficiency.
